Meet Whitney!

Whitney is the sweetest little girl with a heart full of love. She adores her humans and loves other dogs even more. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and an ability to settle down and relax. Curious, eager to please, and very responsive, Whitney is already doing great with training commands and walking on a leash.

Whitney and her littermates were sadly discarded at an abandoned house in Puerto Rico and left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, a compassionate rescuer stepped in, knowing these pups deserved so much better. Since then, Whitney has truly blossomed.

She is friendly, social, and happiest when she’s with people. She lives comfortably with other dogs, has been exposed to cats, and is learning what it means to be part of a family. Whitney walks nicely on a leash, enjoys quiet kennel time, and is fully potty trained in her foster home in Virginia Beach.

Whitney currently weighs approximately 28–29 pounds. She does not need another dog in the home, but she absolutely loves canine companionship—an active dog buddy would be a great match for her playful spirit. She’s a great eater, a total snuggle bug, and has been sleeping in her foster’s bed for weeks like a champ. She’s also doing well with crate training and has become much more comfortable and calm.
